More details

Mark Warner is a practicing artist brought up on the West Wales coast and based in Shropshire.

Mark has a passion for Landscape and Seascape and is influenced by colour, line and the influence of weather conditions. Sketching is at the heart of his work. This is integral to the development of a piece and indeed at times, forming part of the painting itself.

Working in oil and acrylic, he adores using colour and line while interpreting the light, weather conditions and a love for the materials. Atmospheric landscapes and sweeping skies interestingly harness aspects of perspective and composition.

He works directly in the field (literally on many occasions!) from sketches created outside as well as notes and photographs taken on location and continued back in the studio.

He tutors on painting holidays in France and Italy.

His next painting holiday is 20th – 27th July 2019 in the Perigord-Limousin region of France. Open to beginners and more experienced painters alike.

Information available at

Mark also offers 1 to 1 ‘plein air’ tuition in the landscape.

He demonstrates painting at numerous Art Societies in the UK.

His work is displayed and for sale at various Galleries in England and Wales and forms part of many private collections.
