The colours, shapes, lines, forms and patterns found in nature are the inspirations that drive my work. Birds often feature in my paintings together with motifs reminiscent of flowers and architectural detailing.
"Nature is beautiful in that it appears to say more than it is... artworks become artworks in the production of that 'more'." Theodore Adorno, Aesthetic Theory.
Working in a variety of mediums including paint, print and textiles, I often combine several mediums and processes to build up many layers to create an image which is both intriguing and decorative.
I exhibit my work regularly around the South East and am always pleased to talk about commissioned work. To find out more please visit my website, or find me on Facebook and Instagram.
