Alison Henry is a sculptor living and working in North Norfolk where she moved in 2015 after decades of city living across the UK. She now relishes the openness, timelessness and beauty of the Norfolk countryside and the shift from an urban to a rural environment is reflected in her work.
Alison’s creative training includes a Higher Education Diploma in Drawing and Applied Arts from the University of the West of England, but she is largely self-taught in sculpture. Alison works chiefly in clay, exploring elements and structures of everyday objects and creatures in the natural world, reflecting a lifelong interest in and passion for the environment. Finished pieces are cast in bronze or a cold composite such as resin, and available in limited editions.
Examples of Alison’s work can be seen on her website and she will also take commissions.
